Simone Erasmus

General Manager Australia

Simone Erasmus is a writer and content marketer who works with companies to communicate and engage with their audiences and stakeholders. Simone believes that well-written communications are essential to any company. She has worked at some of Asia’s foremost Business-to-Business PR and Communications Agencies, where she partnered with leading companies to develop and execute branding initiatives and marketing campaigns. Simone holds a degree in Social Sciences from the National University of Singapore.

Natalie Mah

General Manager Singapore

Natalie is the Managing Partner at Cactus, where she provides corporate communications and PR advisory to government agencies as well as MNCs and SMEs in diverse industries, ranging from agricultural, education, engineering, health, hospitality, real estate to retail. She specialises in media relations, and has conducted interviews with senior officials to produce high-quality brand-relevant contents for corporate as well as news and trade publications. Prior to Cactus, Natalie was the Head of Corporate Communications at Singapore Technologies Kinetics, where she helped to translate the business objectives of its defence and commerical operations into clear messages for different target audience groups. Natalie’s public affairs career began in the Ministry of Defence where she publicised national campaigns as well as policy announcements. She went on to join the public affairs team at Sentosa Development Corporation where she applied her experience to the hospitality, tourism and lifestyle industries. Natalie graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Dr Daryl Lam, PhD

Sustainability & Training

Daryl is an environmental scientist who works with companies, academics and policy makers to address environmental concerns. His main focus includes analysing paleofloods to improve flood management. Daryl believes that sustainability can help corporations become more resilient, productive and efficient. Daryl has worked across various environmental research projects including urban hydrology, fluvial geomorphology, and flood management. Daryl holds a Doctorate degree in Environmental Science from the University of Queensland, Australia. He has published articles as lead author in prominent scientific journals including Water Resources Research, Geomorphology and Stochastic Environmental Research and Risk Assessment. He has worked with multiple stakeholders, including policy makers and local communities, to communicate environmental objectives and assess sustainability needs. Daryl has also taught undergraduate and post-graduate students in the areas of Physical Geography and Environmental Hazards.

Mark Tan, MBA

Chief Consultant

Corporate Social Responsibility & Risk Management

Mark leads the consultancy, branding and marketing businesses in Cactus Communications where he has consulted clients including De Beers, Ministry of Manpower, Royal Danish Embassy, Singapore Police, SNEF and NUS on business and communications strategies. He also heads up Cactigital, the digital arm of Cactus Communications that provides digital strategy consultancy, social media campaigns and digital marketing services. Prior to Cactus Communications, Mark has held senior executive positions in ST Kinetics, SingTel and the Ministry of Defence. Mark has developed CSR programmes, ERM framework and corporate governance for several organisations including DSTA and NCS. With 25-over years of experience in strategy formulation, market research, marketing, branding, intellectual property management and communications, Mark has managed projects for multinationals and government clients in Australia, China, Denmark, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Norway, Singapore and the United States. Mark graduated from the NUS Business School with a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
